OK I got hold of a copy of the edit and ran into the same problem. Ok, so here's what trackdancer managed to get to me on deviantart. The texture is still visible, just at reduced opacity, so it's not a culling issue. I use Blender, not PMXE, so I can't really explain how to do either of the above, but they're irrelevant to the issue you're having because your mesh by default is not appearing transparent, whatever change you're making to it is causing the issue. Secondly, meshes are single sided because it's more efficient, the side that will appear textured follows normals direction, so you can just flip the normals to get the correct side to be textured. You can just disable alpha for that material if there's no need for it, or set to Z transparency which will use alpha if your texture is a 32bit png. I wouldn't suggest doing what he mentioned anyway, they're not ideal solutions to the problems.įirstly, if a texture is appearing transparent due to a transparency key as he mentions (black), it's because the material is assigned to have opacity via masking.
